“Erik & Serhat,
the impossible marriage”, is a contemporary love-story about two
young men, the dutch Erik and his love, the turkish Serhat. Due to the
dutch immigration laws, they legally cannot live together in The Netherlands.
Unless, they make big changes in their lives… Erik escapes to his
fantasy-world of puppets, stories and video-collages, and wants to make
people think about the current and future social and political climat
in the Netherlands. Can their impossible marriage maybe become possible
in their fantasy?
