During the one-year permanence of el despacho in the Torre Latinoamericana, a group of ten people gave a monthly payment to el despacho. This money covered the rent of the office out of which the residencies took place. In exchange, each one of the ten supporters received a collectable figure modeled in epoxy resin.

The 12 despachos were designed by visual artists María Thereza Alves, Joris Brouwers, Minerva Cuevas, Jimmie Durham, Yvonne Fontijne, Diego Gutiérrez, Johnathan Hernández, Anette Kuhn, Luis Felipe Ortega and Héctor Velázquez.
